The Top Pub

Wairarapa’s oldest and most historic pub is
the perfect place for a quiet afternoon pint or
alternatively a great night out in Greytown.

Publican Tony Murphy has a good mix of Irish and Kiwi about him, born and raised in Titahi Bay and having an extended OE for 12 years in Ireland visiting first family in West Cork before settling in Dublin and learning the Pub trade. In 2018 he was named as one of the top 16 Heineken pour servers in New Zealand,

he also took home the honor of being a Guinness pour master in Dublin so pouring an excellent pint is guaranteed. His wife and partner in crime Ursula hails from Dublin and brings to the Top Pub natural hospitality, which a bit of craic and banter for good measure.
